I don't even know where to begin. This place is horrible. It was pretty bad already, but then a month ago, the same people who own Oak Creek Apartments next door bought this complex, and they are terrible. The apartments themselves suck. They're falling apart, all of the fixtures and appliances are VERY OLD and coming apart and breaking down all of the time. Neighbors around me are way too noisy, especially if you live on the bottom. There used to be reserved parking, but when Oak Creek took over, they sent out a memo stating that there was no more reserved parking. But several people around me still take TWO covered parking spaces for both of their cars. I am disabled, but I still have to park my car way down at the end, and it is very difficult for me to get to it. But does anyone (including the neighbors and the management) care' No way. The office staff is horrendous. They don't know which end is up, but they'll jump all over you for no reason if you so much as look at them sideways. So in a nutshell, the apartments, some of the residents (not all of them, mind you-some of them are very nice), and the staff all suck. You could do alot better somewhere else. I know we're not staying. AD2Hw9Wn8Umb3NN1w1jt

They did not send out a notice about no more reserved covered parking. We've been here for 18 months and have had a few problems but, hey, you get what you pay for. The management tries their hardest and are VERY polite and helpful. The old company sucked! This new one would be great if they would fix the ongoing hot water problem. Forestwood is not as "horrendous" as stated here. Must be an old grumpy man.

I aggree with the original post. My family is moving. We just got a hole in the kitchen last Friday when the blowing rains came and we called that night to report it as an emergency and then on Sat I went to the office to follow up and my wife did the same today because NO ONE has even come over to look at it. Also, when my wife went to ask to speak to the manager she was told that the manager was over at Oak Creek and that my wife would need to walk over to speak to her. We don't rent from Oak Creek and should not have to walk over there to talk to someone about our apt at Forest Wood.

Call me strange, but I really don't think an old man would use the term "suck." Please. I happen to know the person who posted this, and no, she's not an "old grumpy man." She's a young woman with a debilitating disease. And the "memo" that she refers to is the several-page long packet that the management distributed to EVERY SINGLE RESIDENT IN FORESTWOOD. It DID state that there was no reserved parking. Either you didn't read yours very closely, or maybe you didn't have to turn one in? Maybe you know the management or something? Hmmmm, I wonder. Anyway, we spoke to the management about it, and they showed us that the packet they handed out and had everyone sign listed the rules for the owner's apartment residents in the complex that they own in San Antonio, and therefore did not reflect the rules for Forestwood. What the heck?! Why in the world would they have us sign something that pertained only to San Antonio apartment residents? Would it be so hard to work up a new agreement, pertaining to their FORESTWOOD in BEDFORD residents? Sheesh. The management also told us that they had to break up at least two fights over the parking situation, so apparently this woman is not the only one who was confused by this "new agreement." So before you go accusing someone of being something that they're not, you should check the situation a little more closely. And yes, the hot water problem definitely needs to be fixed, and quickly. The management may have "tried their hardest" with you, but all they've done with all of us is give us the runaround. The former management was terrible, as is the current one. The term "horrendous" absolutely stands.

Well I live at Forestwood and love it here. I think they fixed the hot water issue and I am sure the parking situation was solved as well. Also I was told that Forestwood was going to become Oak Creek soon, and from the new paint job. It is the same as Oak Creek so I think that is true. The only problem I have is that my apt has no cable outlet in the spare room and the dumpster is always full.

We were told that if we referred someone they would give us a month of free rent. Of course that turned out to be a lie. Now they try to say that tennants at Forestwood can't be referrals for Oak Creek tennants (which we are). OK..then why the hell do we have to go to Forestwood to talk to the manager half the time? Not to mention we signed our lease in the Forestwood office. They will screw you over any way they can!
