I am writing this about Forestwood because I understand that Forestood is now converted to Oak Creek and they are both managed by Encore Mgt. When I moved out my apt had already been taken over by Oak Creek's mgt. I had a leak and a hole in the kitchen ceiling of my 2nd story apt as well as a bathroom faucet that was not working properly and a brokn kitchen window from the painters who leaned their ladder up against it. Non of these were fixed and the ole had been there for about 8 weeks and nothn was done about it even after 3 calls to emergency maintaince and a number of trips to the office. Now that I am out I have received a letter 2 months ago letting me know that I was getting a small part of my deposit back but that was 2 months ago and I am still trying to have the funds sent to me after 15 plus calls to the bookkeeper and waiting at times more than a week to hear back. I finaly went in person to talk to her to see what was going on and instead of her calling me back on the day she promised I again had to call her. She even refused to give me the coporate info so I can check to see if she is really contacting the person she said she was. By the way the corporate number is 210-558-9945. The bookkeeper said dhe was not authorized to give it out but under Texas state apartment law it is to be given out if someone asks for either the corporate # or address.

Oh wow... I'm a former resident from the year before you, and I was there when Encore took over Oak Creek from the (much nicer) Hayman Co. that ran it when I moved in. It sounds like Encore is still the same stupid management they were when I was there. I got lucky 'cause Encore returned my entire deposit (which they should have since I left the apartment in prestine condition), but I was rather amazed they did nonetheless, since they spent so much time being rude and accusing me of late rent (which had never been late and I had--thankfully--receipts). So glad you got out. Hmmph, there's enough ex-Oak Creek survivors to start a support group!
