I lived in Oak Creek Apartments from May 2005-May 2007. When I went to visit the apartments, I thought I was getting a good deal for the rent and the space. Within my 2 years residing at the complex, management had changed hands 4 times. Every six months there were new faces in the office. Every time that things changed hands there were new policies. When I moved I didn't have to pay water then I received an eviction notice on my door because of a past due water bill. When I confronted the office staff, there was a line of people (the majority of the tenants). Their answer to our concerns was that with new management new rules. 8 months before my lease was up we had bad rain storms, and it rained in my apartment 1801F on 4 different times. There was a hole about 10"x4" in the wall. I notified the office staff twice a month nothing. The wall started to turn brown when they finally came out. This was not fixed, they just put more sheet rock over the hole and bleached and painted the walls. Keep in mind that this was 6 weeks before my lease was up. The office requires a 60 day notice before you move. I turned in a notice of vacate on 02-03-07 as I was moving, the office staff came to my apartment asking if I was moving. They then told me that the did not have the vacate notice although the rent and the notice were turned in at the same time and the rent had been received. They had the nerve to want me to stay until June and pay another month's rent even when telling them that I was moving out of the city. So PLEASE BEWARE because you never know who your going to deal with at this complex. KEEP DOCUMENTATION because they will lose yours.
