I've been living here since February and I can't understand what all these bad reviews are about. My apartment, at least, has the same well-functioning fireplace as the model, as well as a new oven. Very old dishwasher and small refrigerator, but they work decently all the same. The walls are a bit thin, but our neighbors are not terribly loud so we manage. The cabinets in both the kitchen and bathroom seem to be new, as well as the counters, although somewhat plain.
The pool near my building is always open and always clean. The rec room, though, seems to always be closed, but if you're apartment is near it, you'll be able to get free wi-fi.
There are a lot of dog owners here and there are multiple dog baggy and trash stations. But there still manages to be a lot of dog crap on the grounds, though it does gets cleaned up on a somewhat regular basis. There are some nice trees and shrubs around the complex, but they're not terribly well upkept.
I've never felt unsafe here. There has been a shady character or two roaming around, but I've only seen the police once at the complex. I've never been broken into, nor have I known a neighbor who has. There are people here who choose not to have their dogs on a leash, but at least every one I've come across has been well-behaved. I feel safe letting my cat roam around outside among them.
The parking lot is full of potholes which has been a problem. Parking hasn't been an issue, though, as there are plenty of spots. I got a covered space, like promised, though I know of a couple who lives here who didn't.
I can understand the complaints about management. Specifically, Stephanie has been something of a pain. When we came in to sign the lease, she claimed to not be able to find our file. And after making our second month's rent, she called us claiming we never made a payment. Rob, on the other hand, has been really great. Any issues we've had, he help resolved quickly and made sure we were satisfied.
We've not had maintenance problems, but we did have issues with the painters they hired. Had to have them come out three times because they could not figure out which wall we wanted painted despite very specific instructions. That's about all I could say about the place, based on my own experience. I happen to be happy here, and it's definitely better than other places I've lived.

It hasn't been so bad since one neighbor moved out (after the SWAT team came out with rifles drawn..sheesh), and the other neighbors got evicted (the ones who smoked pot all the time, pounded doors, and left their dog on the porch to bark at 2am). Now I'm nervous because both of the apartments next door to me are vacant. I hope we get good neighbors. Or at least normal ones! The apartment behind us was burglarized last month, though. The poor woman was crying and sobbing to the apt managers and the police. I felt sorry for her.
