I am a first time renter. I moved in recently, because of the affordability. Roaches were there from that very first day. Now it is nearly 6 months later and they have taken over. I never leave food out- in fact I don't even keep food in the apartment at all. I clean and spray once a week, top to bottom, every single corner and closet, and I STILL HAVE ROACHES! I have slept at my boyfriend's apartment for the last 3 months because I have found roaches in my BED! They are in the dishwasher, on the couch, on my kitchen table, in the bath tub, (ON MY LOOFAH) they have even laid eggs in the microwave. I frequently find their egg sacks on my kitchen floor. This place is a NIGHTMARE. I can't even live in my own apartment. Maintenance rarely comes. The owners are very rude and intimidating. The walls are thin, i can hear my neighbors when they are just talking. I barely make above minimum wage, working full time, and paying $490 a month for an apartment I cannot live in...well, I really don't have the words to say what a waste that is. Please, please, please, if you listen to any reviews at all on this website, consider this one. I truly feel sorry for the person who moves in after I move out. I wish i could warn them that Oaks of Landera is a tragedy of a mistake.
Oh yeah- I almost forgot to warn you about the POWER OUTAGES. They happen ALL the time. There was one just last night, as a matter of fact, and another one about a month ago. Then ANOTHER ONE 2 weeks before that. This place is depressing.

My lease is up first week of December. I can't wait til that happens. My first time renting an apartment on my own but with a roommate. I left a review on here too. It's the one right before yours. I never had issues with roaches, but I had issues with other things. :-(

I used to live there. It was horrible. All I can say - get anything they tell you in writing and SIGNED by the owner! What a mess! And, yes, power outages all the time!

ohh my the power outages what a pain you ask the manager hed tell you he has no control over it its the elictric company, oh and the roaches ewwwww everywhere i hated talking to the mangament if he was in a good mood hed talk to me bad mood he say whats your name oh im sorry your names not on the lease i cant speak with you about anything
