There was a fire in one of the buildings that the manager and her assistant lived in on July 4th. Worst day possible. The only good thing all lives of tenants and animals were spared. 4 apartments tenants lost just about everything. Renters insurance or not it should not have happened. Then everything went down hill from here. The manager quit and the leasing agent is just horrible. Filed eviction on the only decent maintenance man they had after they let him go and did pay him at all. Still a month later he still has not been paid. The manager was great she cared so much about this place and a week after she left, the dumpsters were full for five days, trash every where, people have been moving for 3 weeks. This place is like a ghost town. People that have lived here for 7, 8, 10 years are moving fast. Why' The office staff says it all. The thing or person someone sees when they walk into a leasing office is the person behind the desk. How can rent an apartment when the person behind the desk never smiles, never wears makeup or dresses decent, oops sorry except when the supervisor is here, and has the worst attitude. Appartently she lived here before and trashed her apartment and was fired and now she is back. How she wormed her way in, we will never know.
So if you plan on living here, you might want to think twice, they have a lot of work to do around here. The only reason it is quiet is because everyone is moving. But who can blame them.

This comment could have only been posted by a discrunted employee. It is hard to beleive some would be upset if evictions are filed. Evictions are filed for non payment of rent. (who said RENT was FREE) Lets face it, if you dont pay rent, you will be EVICTED. By the way, if you were or are any employee of Shenandoah Village, you will get paid, unless you are a contractor or employeed through a temp-agency, please request payment through that agency or contractor, not Shenandoah Village. If people are moving it is the because they are being evicted for NON-PAYMENT OF RENT and that is why the dumpsters where full, not only did they not pay rent, now we have to pay for their trash. So, now who is right or wrong, go figure :-) Shenandoah Village is a GREAT PLACE TO LIVE, all we have to do is pay our rent and address our needs to the office staff.

Really huh. Well the maintenance guy said that the trash bill was not paid. Trash is picked up at least three days a week. Trash was not picked up for 5 days. And I am not an employee, I was a tenant, but I have moved now and I am much, much happier. A property does not file eviction on people you have worked payment plans out with. People who have paid their rent on time have moved because they are unhappy. And the manager that was there, Miss Sarah, was the only thing holding it together. She was a wonderful manager and that is the only reason I stayed as long as I did. Look to the inside of the office with the problems on this property, that is where it all begins.
