I moved in last May and I like it so far. It is hard to get parking after 7PM but must days I make it home before then. As for the Trash situation, closing the door on the compactor will activate the unit. The problem is that when people see the door closed they think that it s full and start dumping trash on the ground, which is so not attractive. It would help of the office notify residents of this fact.
Yes, maintenance does take a while to get back to you, but once they do I have not had any problems. I don t have a problem with nose in the unit, I have quit neighbors. I like the fact that the community is mixed. You have young professional with or with out families to seniors.
As far as the office staff, I only deal with Brittany, she is very professional. Plus she has been the one constant face I ve seen in the office since I moved in last year.
I plan of renewing my lease when it comes up in a few months.

The compactor issue has vascillated many times in the months it's been here. It goes between anyone being able to activate it, then only the staff can activate it (due to safety). People dump trash on the ground all over the property and the office does little to resolve it. The Colonial Village style is to take the quick fix and not to address the problem that causes it.
There has been more than one time that I've ended up fixing a maintenance issue myself, because maintenance takes too long. I'm talking about several days and up to over a week. Yet, there's never a shortage of maintenance guys loafing around on the golf carts, talking to each other or camping out in one of the many garage units they use for storage (while there is a parking shortage).
There was also ANOTHER change to the office staff just last week. It'd be hard to blame the hard workers (like Brittany and Candi) if they found somewhere with a more stable roster.

Candi and Brittany are the common denominator holding this property together (two sparkling gems in a slop bucket). I would not blame either of them for seeking stability with a different management company. Perhaps top-grading of the management staff is in order. In my opinion, few of the recent managers have been suited for the position and the one in place is no different (send her to charm school and get her a hearing aid). Tenants such as myself, pay dearly to live here and expect service (among other things) in return. With the type of customer service (if you want to call it that) provided (by management) you may as well not even ask as nothing will be accomplished. If you don't already live here...don't come here. Save the headache, anxiety, and money paid for poor service and mediocre housing.
