Like so many other reviews, we have been here since before Colonial Properties took over this property. CWS was always very open and friendly and helpful and of great assistance to those of us in the apartments that have handicap access needs. When Colonial came in they just removed most of the handicap spots. This affects my family a great deal. It makes it harder to do things even as simple as getting the mail. The city of Bedford does not have any say over this and the office has never gotten back with us on our requests. We cannot renew under these circumstances and encourage people with handicap access needs to take a close look at any handicap parking access they might need before considering this apartment.

Response to the new property manager: Ok, I will leave my garbage outside of the enclosure and not put it into the "compactor; I have to walk over the cables to reach the door and that is the unsafe part. That should look real nice! And when are the old dumpster areas being removed for parking, or was that a lie from the previous managers? As for the hot tub, the entire complex was probably built in less than 6 months, so how long does it actually take to "schedule" a contractor to fix an existing hot tub? How long does it take to repair a damaged carport? How hard is it to turn off the electricity in the model and fitness center or put timers on? Why does the code still not work on the fitness center? Thanks for the beautiful flat screen televisions; Now how are we supposed to turn them on? Why is it so easy to have good landscaping near the office, and do a sloppy job through out the rest of the complex. How many more carports and other damage needs to take place before the trees are trimmed? How long before the damaged carport from months ago gets repaired? The gates work like an electric garage door; and there are companies who specialize in maintaining them, if your own staff cannot do it. I do not see a problem with the handicap parking, unless a sign is required along with the markings on the ground. How about some parking enforcement? WE DO NOT NEED TO KNOW HOW DILIGENTLY YOU BELIEVE YOU ARE WORKING, WE NEED TO SEE THE RESULTS OF MANAGING THE PROPERTY! Many of the people who lease at Shoal Creek would like this to be a nice community as we believe it was before. Please spend our money as customers, on the community which we pay to live within as our homes, not on a fancy office to entice people to rent and then watch them move out because of sloppy overall maintenance and poor attitudes.

The cables are in front of the compactor not on the side. You do have to walk into the enclosure to dump the bags.Have you senn it??I so agree with this person about the office..everything else neglected. It's ashame you want such an increase but yet do nothing for the residents only office staff.
