I intially moved into the apartment complex when it was under Archstone Summerstone Apartments, it was a great place. The management was friendly, they offered online rent pay, maintanence work order request online and resident appreciation events. When the new management company took over and new staff came, I saw a definate decline in customer service. Gone was the friendly staff- I knew and knew me, online convinences and reliablility.
Still, the grounds and apartments were kept up with decently and the rent was reasonable priced( I got a great pro-rated deal, when I initailly signed my lease)so I renewed. Plus, I really didn't want the hassle of moving and going to a different apartment complex that would be same or even worse.
I'm a very low maintanence resident, due to my very busy schedule the apartment only served my needs to sleep, shower and storage of cloths. That's why I found my winter electric bill of average $250 appauling! I was never home, did not use the dishwasher and had no washer and dryer at that time. I have heard similar electric bill complaints from other residents while having to use the community laundry mat mainly due to our high electric bills!
Until now, I might have recommended Summerstone apartments with the warning about the electric bill but my most recent and hopefully soon last experience with the manager makes me side with those who have also been left with a bad taste in their mouth. I have experienced now first hand what another reviewer has said about how the staff and management are not completely honest in regards to dealings and practices.
And again I agree with another reviewer's warning... Beware!!!

The staff here will probably do whatever it is you need to keep you happy. My electric bill has never been that high, and I have a washer/dryer, run the dishwasher constantly, and someone is always home since we have an infant. When we renewed our lease, we requested our carpet be changed simply be'cos the baby was getting to the age where he was on it all the time. They happily complied. I am sorry to hear that you have had a bad experience, but I love it here, and don't plan on moving for quite a while. Marina
