I moved in towards the end of May 2008, When I got to see the place, lady was in a rush. So from what I saw it was ok. They said they still had some work to do and it would be done before I moved in. Well half was and half was not. The new tile came right up and under the tile was nothing but dirty. When they painted, then painted over gum still stuck to the wall. You could tell they used a spray gun in some rooms because there is spray paint still on the sliding door and the tile above the fire place. It was like they just took a wet cloth to wipe things down. Spent 2 days scrubing everything. The bottom of the bath tub was yellow and black, now white...It was just bad. A/C sucks and the 2 months I have been here I have had to call on it twice. When I first told them that is was hot in the bed room, the first comment I got was, well do you have something other then the blinds', well duh...If it rain or a bad storm comes.....power is on and off for 2 days...Two staff members that worked with me was really sweet, but the main manager was kinda rude.OK..I could go on and on...Once you get it all cleaned up and make it your own, it's really not that bad. The other folks that live here always wave or say hi...but, you make it what you want it to be...

Just wanted to post my own comment: I have lived here for over four years, I love the apartments and the staff. I work in the apartment business myself and sometimes I don't think people understand this job. You mentioned her being rushed. This is the hardest job I have ever done in my life and everyone on the outside doesn't understand this. I believe we all do a great job considering the stress load this job carriers. Keep up the good work Summit Ridge. Look to continue my residence here for a long time.

I completly understand about working in a stressful place. Trust me, I know what being streesed with work can be. My line of work lives are in my hand. I have learned to like it here. I like the people that live around me, but I guess you are in a better location then I am. I am near the mail box and the dumpster. So when the dumpster is full, I get to look at a big mess til it is picked up. I have even done my part and pick up what others thought that it would not fit. Like today, 01-11-09, it's bad, but I stuffed in what I could. The other is pet owners not picking up after thier pet. I park on the end and at least 2 -3 times a week I have to pick up poop. Don't get me wrong, but I work with animals and love them, but when I get in my car and have to look for poop, it kinda sucks. I do plan on staying another year or two, but I would like a few updates and I think I would call this home for awhile. A dishwasher that works and a fridge that holds more then a 12 pack of cokes. The girl who showed me that apartment that was in a rush is one of the girls that I like, she was the sweetist lady I have worked with while looking for an apartment.
