I lived in these apartments by myself from january 2000 to december 28th 2000. I had a list of problems with the owner and manager that to this day have not been resolved.
1. I suspected several times that the manager and her husband would enter my apartment when I wasn't there. Not to steal but to snoop.
2. A family of 5 moved in below me and complained constantly that I was making noise and stomping. The apartment manager made it clear that since I payed less rent that I was less important.
3. After a year of getting used to threats of eviction I decided to join the marine corps. In the middle of boot camp I recieved a bill from the manager for over 800 dollars. She said it was the "letting" fee of $480 and over 300 in damages. I have photos of the apartment that show no damages when I left. But that doesn't really matter because I told the complex that I was covered under the "Soldier-Sailor Act" which makes me exempt from paying those charges if I join the military or am reassigned. They persisted and handed over the claimed bill to a collection agency. I am still battling to get that bill removed from my credit.

My warning to anyone reading this sight. Do not move to these apartments unless you want a hassle without an ending.

Obviously, this is a person who abused his stay at Brenham Park Apts, who didn't know that a manager has to make certain that things are okay if he would not let them in to change a furnace filter, and that if he doesn't pay rent and ruins property, he will have to pay for it. It is a shame that poor tenants like this would write a negative review of what I thought was a great apartment with great people. You can tell from the review that this person was just an angry guy who did not abide by the rules.
