I lived in #227 Brandywyne from Jan 08 or July 08. I moved from New York state to Texas.
So I found the apt from internet. If I had saw some review regarding this apt,
I would not have chosed this one.

The carpet in the aparment is almost 100 years old. It is more old and dirty than you could imagine!
All kinds of bugs, cockroaches hide inside it. My baby has been bited many times. Each time a red spot
on her skin.

When I moved out, the office manager played tricks to charge deposit. Very aggressively charges.
$250 deposit, only $40 back. I asked other tenants who moved out. A lady moved out from #138 has
been charged $300 without a cent left in deposit.

My charges were as follows:

1) Paint Touch-ups $20.00
Comments: it is not the tenants' responsibility to paint the wall, since it is part of regular maintenance. The wall paint is as it was when we moved in.

2) Range / Oven $25.00
Comments: We cleaned the apartment for a whole day.

3) Carpet Shampoo - 2 bdrm $65.00
Comments: We vacuumed the carpet to its best status. The manager just wanted the money and made excuses.

4) General cleaning $ 50.00
Comments: with the charges above, why we are imposed the charge again' Money is the answer.

5) Rent Due $50.00
We moved in Jan 08 and moved out July 08 (Saturday). We tried to return the key to the office on July 10 (Monday) around 9:05am, but no body in the office. So I called and left message.
At 6:00pm, after I finished my work, I went to the apt and gave the keys to Rose Mary, who is the assistant of the manager Tammy.

he manager Tammy is very rude and agressive in deposit charges. Other tenants said she is mean. When you ask the manager
to inspect the apartment after move-out, she would say every is ok and you don??t have to fix this or that.
But when you receive the mail of refund, you are shocked to see all types of charges.

Uhhh, learn to speak English. It is obvious that you are probably el illeglito. Usually people of the same caliber live amongst themselves. I doubt you did a very good job of cleaning-nobody in Brownsville does.

How rude! I live in Brownsville and I clean my apartment very well. I am glad that she left these comments. I will not rent from this apartment complex. I was thinking of looking at the apartments, but now I definitely won't. You should treat people with respect. By the comments you show yourself to be completely uneducated.

I will report on how it goes when we move out. We live at the Rio Viejo apartments by St. Joe Acadmey. Tammy is the manager for these apartments as well. The carpet in our place is super old, we had to do our own shampoo to get some funky smells out. The neighbors air conditioner is so messed up that is shakes the whole building when it is running. It shakes so bad that pictures sometimes fall off the wall. Despite all that crappy stuff she has been pretty nice with us, and got important things fixed in a timely manner. I will inform you how the move out goes. We are very clean people, so I expect to get all my money back. I will inform, Justin.

Tammy behaves like a man. And her drunk husband Fred scares the kids at the complex with his crazy Vietnam stories. Talk about how he can kill people with his barehands. They taught him that in Vietnam according to him. Like a couple of years back he would carry a gun around the apartment complex at night. For security purposes im sure, but still none the less scary. I lived at this dump for two years and its overpriced. But hey atleast good ol' Fred has his money for his brewskies to numb himself each night before he goes to bed with Tammy. And about the racist comment you made about illegals, Fred seems to enjoy them. You know what I mean ::wink-wink::. I can see where the hate comes from. And you cant rent an apartment without a social security card genius. Have a good one guys!

All I have to say is that I hope I'm not charged for stupid ass things when I move out from my deposit. This place isn't the best as it has like a kagillion roaches and our two vehicles have both been broken into since there is absolutley no securtiy around here. I will agree though with the fact that Tammy does tend to get the important things fixed in a timely manner, like the ac or heater. I'll tell you what though, had I found this site before I moved in here I never would have in the first place. I've had to make the roaches my friends. And it doesn't matter how well I clean because I do! I will leave my apt spotless and they still are all over the place!
