MY entire experience with wayside was rather bitter sweet. Our water heater flooded the apartment the first week, almost ruined my computer, the backdoor leaked and the water traveled along the carpet, spreading mildew and bacteria throughout the living room, ruining a poster collection, and the carpets were just dried, not cleaned or disinfected. And then when we move out, we gave notice, were not on a lease, and not only did it take a month to get our deposit back, but they charged for a full month of electricity after we left, then only gave us a third of our deposit back, given the excuse that we did a horrible job of cleaning the apartment and the carpets were in horrible condition; when my wife and i slaved over the apartment for 2 days cleaning and the carpet condition was from the water damage and previous tenants. none of these stipulations were in writing, and the apartment owner was unwilling to give us the rest of our deposit.
