overall a great place

Years at this apartment: 2003 - 2005
My exboyfriend was one of the first tenants in May of 2003. I spent a lot of time at Aggie Station from then until December 2003. I later moved there with friends August 2004 - 2005.
Location:
You can walk to campus/Northgate (10-25 minutes depending on where you are going) or catch the shuttle bus to campus.
Amenities:
A few times the internet went out, but overall they delivered on everything promised. The pool/hot tub were always in great shape. However, the exercise equipment is poorly constructed. Don't expect a good work out there.
Bills:
Everything but electric is covered, which is quite convenient. Since the buildings are new, they are pretty energy efficient. If you have ever had to pay an exorbitant electric bill at an old apartment, you know how nice that is.
Parking:
As a resident, I could always find a spot, although sometimes it was far away from my apartment. The guest parking situation isn't perfect, but they have worked hard to make it better. In fall of '03 it was just awful. By the time I lived there, my friends always found spots.
Noise:
Some of my neighbors were out of control. I like to throw parties, but I know the time and place. We even had neighbors that threw a loud outdoor party in the middle of exam week (i.e: there were finals at 8 am the next day). I also had neighbors that would bump the radio. It's bad enough to head someone else's music, but I don't want adverisements for zit cream rattling my walls. However, the noise wasn't unbearable overall. Also, the walls aren't thin; I never heard my neighbors talking or anything like that. Most of the noise problems came from people being loud outside.
Staff:
Overall the staff was good. They helped accomadate a number of special requests from my roommates and I.
Misc:
The foundation is already having problems. All of our windows had large cracks around them.
Security Deposit:
Don't expect to get most of it back. They even charge you to replace the drip pans on the stove. Also, you have to pay 2 months rent when you first move in. You don't have to pay the last month's rent to make up for it, but you need to make sure that you have the cash ready.
Overall:
I really enjoyed living here. I decided to write this review because it seems impossible to find a place this safe/reliable/nice/cheap were I live now. P0MtU6TIdDkM23RTonAS
