This place was a horrible place to live. Where to start, with my neighbor playing music loudly into the night almost every night, bass so loud my coffee table was shaking. When I went down to talk to him at 1am on a Tuesday morning, I was told through the door to "F--K Off White Girl" so, yeah not a great neighbor. Maintenance was horrible, I came home to a flood in my apartment on more than one occasion and it was not fixed. The water to our apartments would occasionally be shut off without any notice. I went without air conditioning for 9 days in July and when the AC unit was supposedly replaced, it was installed incorrectly, so they still had to come out again on day 10 and fix it again.
Apartment smells like smoke would come home to stale cigarette smell, smelling like someone smoked in my apartment.
People do NOT clean up after their dogs, that was a great morning to walk into that pile!
Closet space is great, but not worth the other hassle.
Parking is crap, people are allowed to park trailers and large trucks in parking lot taking up 8-10 spaces even though this is not allowed on the lease, it happens all the time.
Office staff doesn t respond to you unless you are rude. If you have simple questions, maintenance issues, they will NOT call you back. When I moved in, the apartment was FILTHY, it was so dirty the toilet was BROWN. I was told that it was cleaned. It looked like a rest-stop toilet and flys were everywhere. There was paint everywhere, all over the carpet, all over the cabinets, all over the shower, on the floor in the kitchen, etc. Tiles in kitchen puckered due to water damage when refrigerator leaked and they were glued back down but continued to pucker and cut my foot when walking barefoot in kitchen. Office hours are not convenient if you work.

Brookside has a Courtesy Monitor who is glad to respond to after hours noise complaints. Also the Bryan PD will come out anytime there is an issue-which is rare. All residents are given a Move-In Condition form and if these items had been noted and the office informed, we would have addressed any issue promptly. We have not allowed any resident to go for more than 24 hours without A/C in the summer. We have a great service team on the property and we can put a resident up in a guest suite in the event their A/C cannot be fixed that day. Residents are not allowed to park recreational vehicles all over the property, but in a designated space only. This is monitored so that we don't have boats, trailers, etc. all over the property. Brookside offers our residents the ability to send a service request over the internet, pay their rent via the internet or just check their balance via the internet at any time. If an appointment is needed to solve an issue or help a resident, a phone call to the Property Manager is all it takes.
