First off - these apartments now have a problem with bed bugs. And the management is putting it on the residents to pay $150 for treatment. Most residents here seem to be nice quiet international students. Do you really think they can afford that' So don't expect this complex to ever be free of bed bugs. We have a lease through the end of the year so have purchased chemicals and are treating each month to make sure they don't get in our apartment through the walls again.
A friend had a 1 bedroom apartment and was fairly happy here. A new manager took at some point. We got a 2 bedroom since it seemed like an okay place and was close to campus. They did not clean or repaint the apartment before we moved in. They did refund the prorated rent for the first weekend since we had to clean it before moving in. We've lived here for 2 months and they still haven't fixed half the things we reported wrong with the apartment in the first week. It took over a month for them to replace part of the floor in the upstairs bathroom. It had severe water damage and was not safe to walk on and the shower was in that bathroom. In 2 months the A/C has broken twice, and this is one of the hottest summers on record! The machines in the laundry room are always broken.
I guess you get what you pay for....

Regarding the bedbugs, it was those same "nice quiet international students" (-------) who were responsible for the infestations in the first place. I have lived in three different units here and reported a long list of items on the move-in report just for my protection. I did not even request they be repaired, but most of the deficiencies were treated as trouble reports and were addressed rather quickly. I was impressed. I do no know which laundry room is referred to here (there are three) but the one by the pool has had one washer out of service for months. All the other equipment seems to work. I have not had any problems with my A/C system & just change the filter quarterly.

Why blame international students? All of America has a bed bug problem, is all of America a big International student apartment complex. And they used to have a problem with bed bugs before and they paid for the extermination. With occupancy rates rising, suddenly its not as viable for them to pay every single of their own problem. The laundry rom being referred is the one near the sundeck where 1 washers out of 4 and 2 driers out of 6 still work and not very well at that. You are very clearly an apartment employee. Not a single person in those apartments likes them. We stay there only ebcause it is cheap.

Though I did not experience the bedbugs, I had friends who did and I did receive a notice on my door that if anyone had bedbugs, they would now have to pay for it themselves. Which I find ridiculous. Just another reason I moved out of that place.
