My boyfriend and I started renting here in August 2003. Back then the management was fine, helpful and friendly. The rent was appropriate: good price for what is offered.
In 2005 things started going bad, management changed. The current management Toni and an old lady (who got fired in 2006) are rude, and unfriendly. They were only nice to people wanting to sign on the lease. After that, they're back to being rude. Since 2005, the lawn is rarely properly maintained. The laundry facilities which are few (16 washing machines and 16 dryers for over 500 apartments and most machines dont work. We always have to call and inform them 4-5 machines are not working). Insulation is bad. Because of that our electricity bill is huge. AC doesnt cool most of the summer. We have asked maintenance more than once to fix and frequently update the AC System to no avail. We have also asked for our bedroom closets to be fixed more than once to no avail. This year our carpet had to be changed since it has been over 5 yrs old, management refused to change unless we renewed our lease.
Rent also has increased every year over 30$ for a 12 month lease even though the amenities provided and the apartment is getting older and older year after year.
We should have left in 2005 when we saw how the new management, maintenance and rent prices became, but we just didnt want to go through the hassle of shopping around for better deals and amenities. But now we're asked to renew our lease again and rent has increased again so I am fed up with them so in May 2007 when our lease ends we're moving to a better and cheaper apartment in the area where management is friendly and the amenities are better as well as the rental price.

I agree with you. I too have lived here since 2004 and it used to be good with the old management. Now the new management (TONI) sucks.
Rent is increasing every year over 30$ PER MONTH for a 12 month lease and 50$ for 9 month lease. That's over 400$ PER YEAR for what? The apartment is getting older every year. The amenities aren't updated. I am not renewing my lease anymore this year. It's not worth it. I shopped around and there are far better deals in town.
