Despite being in Bryan, this is the best apartment complex I have ever lived in. I guessed as much when I called for the first time to ask about the apartment complex and a FRIENDLY manager answered my call - no being put on hold, all of my questions were answered and they seemed as though they honestly wanted my business. After filling out an application there was little wait time until I was approved. (I'm on a full scholarship and have had trouble proving my 'ability to pay' at other complexes.) The maintenance staff is only made up of a few men, but the quality of their work shows! Any request or concern was promptly attended to within a few days, depending on the urgency.
This semester, I had beyond-terrible roommate problems and had to move out, but I did not want to leave this complex. The management was very understanding and worked with me to find an open apartment and a lease that fit my needs.
The apartment buildings are not as new as Aggie Station, but for the cheap price, I think you get more than you pay for. The rooms are big with plenty of storage and the carpets are clean - which is much more than I can say for some apartments behind Northgate. The complex is very quiet - and provides an excellent study environment. I choose to walk the 13 minutes to campus, though it is on a bus stop and the ride only takes about six minutes.
I would definitely recommend Country Place to any student on a budget.
