My wife and I moving in 2 years ago. We were very impressed with the appartments and the complex in general. The maintenance was good, and the neighbors were great. There were a lot of graduate students with kids, so there was never loud music, parties, noise, etc. I would have enthusiastically recommended it to anyone. However, less than a year ago the management changed and things have gone down hill ever since. The head manager is no good and not very nice. All of the nice families have been moving out and being replaced by loud annoying tenants. Kids roam around unsupervised, the pool is always full of people who don't live there, and the trash compactor breaks down everyweekend (either it is broken or people just don't have the decency to put their trash IN the compactor). Also, they do not give discounts for renewers. They are offering specials for NEW tenants, but they won't give any incentive for good tenants to renew. If you are a nice graduate student family, I would personally like it if you moved in (so that my wife and daughter could have someone decent to socialize with). However, if you did move in you would be highly diappointed. Of course, by saying all this I realize that I am just exacerbating the problem by scaring away good tenants while I still have to live here for at least another year. However, I believe that Saddlewood is no longer a decent place to live and they deserve to be turned into a ghetto, which is exactly what they are becoming (unless they change their policies soon).

I whole-heartedly agree with every word. We moved here in March 2004 and were very impressed. Our maintenance guy was awesome, and the staff was great! For about a year now, though, everything has gone downhill. Nothing gets fixed, and the staff have changed. Also, there is a lot of noise and a lot of people loitering around in the parking lot late at night, yelling at each other and getting in fights.
