Update on "questioning the reviews" 8-2-06

(Please reference the review written by "questioningthereviews" copied below) Interesting how this person walked around running into the management personnel finding out what was going on with complaints in the "no" reviews on this site. The person said that the maint. person told them that the a/c in the indoor basketball court would work if people didn't turn it down to 60 degrees. Well, the a/c is out once again (only worked a couple of weeks out of two summers) and frankly, anyone in the a/c business knows that if a a/c unit is the right size and properly maintained it will not burn out because of a low setting because once the air is cooled its does not increase the load on the unit to keep the air the cooler temp. Of course the doors on the building have been broken for over a year too, which would make it hard on the a/c unit. They don't fix those either. Then, the maint. told questioningthereviews that the indoor basketball lights that have been burned out for over a year would be fixed. That was 10 days ago and they are still not fixed. Well questioningthereviews, I guess you too were lied to about things getting repaired just like the rest of the "petty" people that live here. Welcome to the club!
Here's that review copied:I have lived here for some time and found out about this website a week ago. I keep seeing complaints on here about the pools, the basketball court, etc. I am retired and use the pool - what algae are you talking about' I lived here with the previous management company and was not impressed. There were alot of promises made and never followed through with. The same pool service that has been used for years here is still being used, so after reading this site I went to the office to ask about the complaints. I was informed that
Continued below...the pools are being resurfaced this year, Phase II will begin this week and the pool by the office will be done sometime in Sept. The office explained they were holding off on the main pool so that residents would not have to be without a pool for August since school is starting back and there may be families that want to enjoy it. I walk at night and see that there are some areas that need lighting, so why not report them rather than complain. I have spoken to several residents that like living here and it is too bad that they do not know about this site. My grandson has been staying with me for a week and we went to the basketball court a few nights ago and the air conditioning was working. I saw a maintenance person and asked about the lights on the inside, they are getting replaced and he explained that the air conditioning would work all the time if people would quit turning the temperature down to 60 degrees which will ruin the unit. It is as though there are the same people writing comments on here. It also sounds like it is someone that works in the apartment industry, just due to some of the language used. I like it here and will continue to be courteous to my neighbors when out walking.
