Pepe LePieu lives next door - I SWEAR it.....

I've been here for just over a year (I just signed another years contract).

Let's go over this - I wanna prove I'm not crazy, just want to give benefit of the doubt to the new management.

I've lived in a couple other places in Carrollton as well as various locations through out Dallas in the last 10 years. I've lived in an area that 6 months after I moved had the 7-11 closed. I've lived across the street in a nice condo across the street from the Projects in Oaklawn and around the corner from those same Projects *yeah - I liked the area - what can I say'*. That being said, I've never had to pay so much to get so SO little.

Ok - so I knew in advance that it was near the landfill. I didn't know that I was slated to get a big whiff of it every morning (and God help you on a muggy day).

Maintenance' Seriously' I thought they just cruised around on the golf carts (no doubt providing customers to the purported sex trade on-site). I've had a leak in my unit that occured during the onslaught of rain this spring. Dark and discoloured, no doubt mold bearing, and evident by the stain and flaked paint. After three calls to get it fixed, I just gave up.

Pools - no offense - but I've never been fond of large community pools just because of the idea of the various nastiness people have on them - and we all know kids like to pee in them. No thanks - I'd almost rather take a bath with my dog after going to the lake.

Pets - people don't seem to own leashes for their quasi-dogs. I've had to inform one neighbor that if her almost-dog comes for mine again, it will get punted. Leash laws for a reason folks! And sadly - most people don't pick up their poo - but my dog is proper sized, and unlike the pebbles most leave, I have to pick mine up!

Office staff - dear me do we have to go there' Bubba, you look HOT in your outfit, no denyin' that, but could you get a clue and get my mail for me w/o checking yourself out on the way from one office to the other' And could ANY of you ladies act like you give a d*mn about helping me when I walk in' I know - you've already got a signed lease from me so there's no need to try and appease me, but at least act like you know I pay your salary.

Amenities - I love that we get a monthly calendar. It's fun to compare what was available when I moved in to what we have now. Gone are the social functions. Wanna do some aerobics' Sign up - but don't expect to attend many classes if you have a job because the hours are clearly designed for housewives only. I'm already at work before the office opens, and I'm rarely home before they close. And since the gym *the only remaining amenity from when I signed my lease* only operates during their hours - no gym for me!

High Speed/Television - Oh yeah! Get me some of that there Fios stuff! Woohoo! Interenet, phone, cell phone - sorry, TV not available in this complex. Why' Cuz we're hooked up with some small time cable company that, when I dropped them, was based in Seattle. Yeah - good luck getting quick service with that mess! I keep hearing "we're working with our legal dept to get Fios TV in here by Jan". That's gonna be the lie that breaks this camels back if they don't get it together.

So.. let's see. All summed up - I guess I have high expectations for Harbour (new mgmt group). I can't see paying increased rent for lowered quality surroundings (poor upkeep and non existant maintenance), nearly nonexistant amenities (hello - that's what brought us here to begin with), and less than pleasant staff that really don't seem to care if you have a problem or not, but god help you if you're late with that rent! odusyNYCcZ7yL3Bj5JtG
