Had to go to Atty General

The apartment I had was nice. Dealing with the staff was like dealing with small children. The first management team I had to go weekly during my lunch to get things done because otherwise nothing got done. Then the new team came in. They were very nice and polite and got things fixed. However it was like dealing with children again and you would get one answer and then come back talk to someone else and get a different answer. When I moved out I went in and asked the staff to make sure I had my rent and charges current. When I got to my new place in another state I got a letter saying they had retroactively raised my rent with no notification at all. All the time I spent with their staff trying to make sure I would have no problems moving out was a complete and total waste of time. My charges were sent for collection after being due only two weeks and I am now having to work with the Attorney General's office to remedy the situation.

yeah, they screwed me too with their charges and not returning security money. I would think Texas should have better laws protecting tenants from unscrupulous landlords.

I've lived at Bella Vida at Coyote Ridge (formerly The Mansions at Coyote Ridge)since late summer 2001. The original builder/owners, Western Rim Properties were excellent. However when they learned that the landfill to the west had gotten approval to increase their height/size they sold the property to a company whose name I don't recall. They were not of the same caliber as Western Rim. The property was then sold to Greystar; and that's when it really got bad. They did little or nothing to improve or maintain the property and management tenant relations were at an all time low. Luckily for us they then sold to The Harbor Group. It's been a slow process but things are improving.

Ya all of the apartments in this area have people who were trained by people who don't know what they are doing. I do not know if it is the ownership or the local management teams or both. I have lived in apartments all of my adult life (35-40 years)and I have never seen so many badly run and non caring apartment management teams as the ones in this part of Carrollton. I call them ripoff management. No matter what you do they will try to ripoff your deposits and then try to claim you owe them more money.
