When first looking for a venue to warn other potential tenants of this property I was confused by the address listed for Briarcrest. Briarcrest Apartments have two locations in Carrollton I believe. The complex I rented my unit was at 1330 Mac Arthur Dr. The other negative reviews I read were right on point. Service was very poor to say the least. Major problems often took days for maintenance to come an look at for example 7 business days to come look at a leaky kitchen sink that was causing the cabinet to rot and mold. The rent you pay is low but you barely get what you pay for. When we moved out we had small damages to pay for less than $400 we gave the office all contact information but we received a threatening letter just weeks after moving out with no previous contact stating what we owed. Safety is an issue at this location. Police visits to the complex were frequent. Many bad unsupervised children run around the complex at all time of the day with no place to play safe from the apartment's traffic. To put my review in proper perspective I recently move to the Colonial Grand at Bear Creek in Euless. As of November of 2008 the Colonial Grand has a 31% recommend rate and it deserves it in my opinion but it still a huge improvement over Briarcrest. My advice if financially possible avoid the Briarcrest Apartment of Carrollton at all cost.
