Not Good, moving out at the end of my lease
From: EiladinDate posted: 11/5/2002
Years at this apartment: 2001 - 2002
This is my second apartment in this complex (1st was a 1 br, now a 2 br that a friend and I share to cut costs)
In my first apartment here there was a huge ant problem. I sprayed everything I could think of to no avail. I reported the problem and it was never handled.
In my roommates first apartment (in the Knolls as well) he lost A/C in the first month and it never got fixed.
On to the second chance....
We have been in this apartment since June 2002.
So far here is the list of things to go wrong.
1) approx. half of the outlets have no grounding (not too good for a couple of computer types)
2) A/C went out in the first month and was fixed. It went out 2 weeks later, was reported and still nothing has been done to fix it.
3) Water leaks into the apartment from above the sliding glass door when it rains. We are on the first floor.
4) There is a major roach problem. We were told that all apartments were to be exterminated. That was 3 months ago, no terminators to be seen yet.
5) We were informed that we missed 1/2 of September rent. That same day (Saturday) I checked my statement and found that it came out 2 days previous.
6) We were again informed that we missed November rent and we are being told to "evacuate the premise". Again, I checked my balance and again my rent check was cashed.
That's just the major issues. I refuse to give perfectly good money away and not get what I paid for. Not only will this experience prevent me from renting an apartment here again, but from any Dalcor owned complex.
