I lived here about 6 years ago. When we moved in, our apartment wasn't in very good shape but the management made note of the problems and assured us that they wouldn't be -our- problems when we moved out. The place continued to fall apart over the year that we lived there and then, months after moving out, we were contacted at our new address by the greedy corporation who owns the apartments. They sent us a list of things in the apartment that needed repair, things that weren't our fault (like the floor delaminating, other weird things that we had nothing to do with). They demanded over $600 to settle with them. I refused to pay that amount but made a counter offer to take into consideration the few things they listed that -were- my fault (like the cleanup and pet odor fees they listed) but they refused my offer. So now over the past 4 years or so, I've had this "debt" on my credit report and each time I try to have it removed, the corporation rebutts my request and keeps it on my record. Beware! These guys are running an apartment complex in poor repair and are only interested in squeezing as much money as they can out of their tenants (and ex-tenants!).

I am sorry about you bad experience with these apartments...but as you said you lived there over 6 years ago. The apartments are now under new management. I moved in this past December 2006 and have had very few issues. When I brought them to managements attention they were there the very next day to fix them. I think your review is unfair. I am sorry you have that debt but after 6 years of not living here I don't think you can compare your sour grapefruits to the sweet oranges that are now here. The grounds are well maintained and the insides of every apartment I have been in are in good shape. The apartments are far from falling down in disrepair as you said they are. Maybe it would be a good thing if you get a digital camera and take pictures of the inside of your apartment with the date on them when you move in before you bring in any furniture and then when you move out do the same. Give a copy of the pictures to the management to keep in your file when you move in and then give them a copy of the pictures you take when you move out. Also have them do a walk through with you when you move in and move out and sign a paper stating anything that is not exactly in as good of condition as it was when you moved in. I do this and have never had any problems and have always received my deposit back.
