I've been living here for almost 2 years and am sick and tired of it. The people in my building have had to call the police half a dozen times in the past 6 months because of crime in our complex. We have personally had to call them 3 times. Our shower knob and broiler went broke and it took almost a week to get repaired. The last time the broiler went out, we requested a new stove as there was a bright flash and pop when it went, but instead, the maintenance people repaired the wiring. Of course less than a week later it goes out with a loud pop and it starts glowing white. Our rent has went up, as has our water bill. Our water bill went from $15/month to $35/month for no apparent reason. The walls are extremely thin and we learned the hard way not to hang pics on a certain wall as they will fall when people go up or down the stairs. We can hear every step our upstairs neighbor makes and he walks on his toes. Because of the building we live in, parking is nearly impossible. There are bushes by the mailbox that make it almost impossible to see oncoming traffic, which is very dangerous.

I agree this place is bad. I've lived here for several years and have watch it go downhill. Much of the problem is the lack of screening of applicants. Used to be that they screened carefully prior to move-in but since Katrina they've become much less selective. I think the situation in Farmers Branch has had a large impact on the types of residents they now attract. Their management seems more focused on attracting new renters and steadily increasing rents than on keeping longer-term residents. The place is degenerating into more or less "the projects."

i didnt kno that i live in the galleria but goes to edentree all the time it doesnt seem dat bad
