The apartment was okay; the carpet was old, of course, and they didn't replace it before we moved in. Despite that, the apartment was a good value for the money. The staff is really friendly and helpful, and maintenance has a quick response time. They have a hot tub on the property, but it's out of order quite often. I think in the year I lived there, I only used it once or twice despite trying to use it at least a dozen times.
Safety is a concern at this complex. There are often hoodrats walking down Branch Hollow to the gas station across the street (very convenient). Two of these guys hassled me for a cigarette on my balcony and then started calling me horrible names when I politely refused. When it upset the people in my apartment there for the Superbowl, the hoodrats tried to enter our apartment to try to start a fight. Felt like I was in an episode of Jerry Springer! The Carrollton police came and took a report, but didn't find the guys. I think they have since added a security guard, so maybe it won't be as big a problem.
Also, if you are concerned about high energy bills, watch out. The insulation in these apartments SUCKS. I think the lowest electricity bill I ever had was about $200.

I will have to commend Indian Creek for the renovations! The apartments are looking EXCELLENT! My only complaint with the rennovations is that the 24hr CyberCafe is being crowded with little teenagers on thier myspaces all night. I work late hours, and I went to do my laundry around 10:00pm at night (I get off at 8) and it was crowded full with teenagers that probably didn't even live in the apartments, on ALL of the computers, on thier myspaces. I'm just afraid that this CyberCafe will attract people who don't even live here. It happens. Even if they don't have the key, they can find ways around it. But other than that, I love these apartments. My electricity is a little high, and my water bill was $30 last month, and I was barely even home due to a vacation. I was confused about that. But I'm sure as friendly as the staff is here they will take good care of me...I just haven't asked them about it yet. lol. (Also my apartment ALWAYS smells of my neighbor's cooking...and it's nauseating sometimes. I love the smell of food, but I smell it CONSTANTLY and it always smells like thier cooking the SAME thing. The movers I hired to move me in even noticed my house smelled like indian food or something. lol) I feel really safe at these apartments though. They are VERY well lit at night, and I am happy to know we have two officers that live there!! I was not aware of that! I also LOVE the new paint, and the slick black doors! When are we going to get our new apt numbers put back on? :)
