Security Concerns

The apartment complex is undergoing renovations, so the overall appearance is unpleasant until the work is done. Most of the work is to provide a pleasing appearance if you're outside looking in. The apartments are more than 20 years old and construction is at best, tolerable. Be prepared to pay a rather large price for utilities since there's little to no insulation in the apartments and older appliances.
The hot tub has been broken for a number of months. The tennis court lacks a net. Hoodrats are everywhere with loud music blasting. If there is any security around the complex, they are either deaf or frightened of the hoodrats. Obviously, drugs are a major concern.
In less than three months, my lease will be up and I'll feel better living somewhere else.

| Thankfully we completed our major renovations in January, so things are looking much better! We appreciate our residents' patience while we improve. The hot tub is now in-ground and working well, so I encourage you to check it out in its new enlarged form. Our Courtesy Monitor is an off-duty Carrollton Police officer, and I can assure you she completes her rounds each night, as required. Please feel free to contact her through the 24-hour emergency line at any time to report disturbances or loitering, and she will respond, or call out on-duty officers as appropriate. Thank you for your feedback. -Ian Mattingly, Regional Supervisor | |

I find sigma923 comical. The chances are, that this is an older resident that uses the term "hoodrat" too frequently. I have been here for almost two years. In the last year, a LOT of changes have taken place.
Security was discussed by sigma923. There are two officers that live here and have really cleaned up since moving in about a year ago. I have personally seen one of the security officers wait on the police squad and arrested trespassers when he was in his regular clothing. I am sure that there are times when the officers are not available, they probably have lives themselves. But I feel a lot safer. I have been to meetings and there are always those few residents that always complain about every little thing.
There are a lot of renovations going on. Some that I thought were not necessary. But, there is a new cook out area, and the pools are so nice. The hot tub does have this weird tall security fence that should have been extended out like the previous fence! AND the hottub does work. Especially since it is BRAND new.
Kids will be kids, not every kid is a "hoodrat". And if loud music is a major concern, and safety from "hoodrats", maybe your next move should be to an assisted living/ nursing home resident. If you are so concerned about safety, why would you play tennis anyways?

These cops that live there must be good at protecting the VERY front. Cars were broken into regularly, several people were robbed, and you can smell pot just walking to the pool. A car was just broken into last week. I have a few friends that are currently stuck there so I still get to hear all of the drama that goes on in those apartments! One of my friends was told his rent was going up $75!

I won't use the term "hoodrat", but there is a group around here that's pushing it!
