OK except for psycho neighbor

I thought this would be a great place. Everybody is quick to address needs and questions. The maintenance is immaculate. However, I have had problems with an unemployed and mentally ill woman living here, since I moved in. Everywhere I used to live, if you harrassed the other tenants, you were out on the second round. Here, they have a "let's try to get together" attitude. That's fine except I've had to call the police about five times in a year on this woman and I am wanting out of my lease. This doesn't include the times I haven't called the police but told the office staff. For example, I am upstairs. If I get up in the night to use the bathroom, you can hear her stomp through the house and into her bathroom underneath and stop there. She's right underneath me, that is very creepy! She bangs on the walls and ceilings if I play music, load the dishwasher, watch a DVD, and when I'm getting ready for work or bed. They have offered me a different apartment (for 100 a month more!) but my father has advised me to not take it, as it is on the first floor and she will probably continue her harrassment and I completely do not feel safe living near a seriously unstable tenant. The neighbors have said the same thing about her and a previous employee said the last person who lived in my apt moved because of her. She has acquaintences who waited for me to get home in their trucks in front of my parking spot, and when they saw me coming, they all started their engines and drove off, and she ran (quickly waddled) back to her apartment. Then she took her dogs out back, and they bark constantly outside, and she stood outside my balcony for 30 minutes and let the dogs bark. I have police report and still nothing happens.

Sounds to me that you're letting this woman get the best of you and turning the situation into more than what it is. I live here too and know the management is always very sympathetic and helpful with situations like this. You're only giving this other woman power over you by letting her get to you. Grow A SPINE!! There are undesirable people everywhere in this world. Its not the apartment's fault.

I have lived in apartments my whole life, and this is the best place yet that I have lived in. The management, office staff and maitenance staff go out of their way to make this HOME, not just an apartment. They always have time for you,and they always are there for you when you need them.Maintenance issues are taken care of almost before you know you even need it. The grounds, pools, and fitness center are always clean and ready to use. The guy who wrote about his noisy and nosey psycho neighbor sounds like he is the problem. Every where you go, you are going to have neighbors and management can not control the way people figure out how to get along with one another. I love my apartment and the location, the office staff are wonderful and if he is unhappy here then he needs to move out. But dont trash the property because he has a problem.

Dear anonymous 2... The person's review doesn't say this is a male or a female. So how do you know unless you are the person being complained about (or if you are the manager)? I sure hope anonymous 2 isn't the manager, because I trust the management and have never encountered any shady dealings from them. I live here (and am a guy in fact) and everything is great but you can sometimes hear noisy neighbors. There is definitely a problem with thin walls, and we can hear the children but they're little kids and don't know any better. Their mom is working on it. This person sounds unhappy here and he/she needs to move to a less noisy place if that's the problem. And we have had scary neighbors in other apartments and you never know about people these days. To the reviewer, be warned: apartments anywhere are never going to be as quiet as a house that doesn't share walls with someone, so there is going to be noise of some sort most of the time. I'm happy here even with a sometimes noisy little kid running around (he's a good kid). And anonymous one, there is a difference between growing a spine and trying to have peace and safety. It sounds like management isn't listening. I have been here a few years and think the place is great and management has always listened to me, the one or two minor issues I had (once the toilet overflowed and they fixed it pronto) and we are going to stay here until we can afford a house. But the second anonymous person sounds suspiciously like they know who it is complaining -- and if you read the review, "he" (or she) is not trashing the apartment complex at all. You never know what crazy people who fixate on you will do. I guess we got lucky here, this place is GREAT and I would recommend it to anyone, it's a beautiful property and Sharon is very sweet, and the quality of the grounds and the construction and the roomy floorplans are well worth occasional noise. This is the best deal for the money in the immediate area plus it's close to everything.
