Parkside village does nothing but think of new ways to make money off of their tenants. The office staff is completely useless, they do not fix problems with the apartments, the water bill averages $70 a month on top of your rent, and if you have any problem whatso-ever the apartment manager will do nothing but explain that either your stupid or it is supposed to be that way. The laundry facilities are a joke, and the "sparkling" pools, sparkled green slime all summer. If you decide to live in these apartments you will financially ripped off and regret ever moving here. By the way, their move in specials do not demonstrate the $800 deposit they will make you pay.

The water depends on how many people live in your apartment and it includes water, trash, gas and sewer. Also if you had to pay a lot in deposits its probably because of your credit and if your credit is that bad that you had to pay $800 your lucky you even got approved. The pools look great and so does the property!

Actually the pool only look great because they were opened after summer was over and I sincerely doubt that they are safe. The pool itself is toxic with shock treatment in smell. And in regards to the water, trash gas and sewer, there is no control here. The gas was randomly charged, it controls the hot water so residents have no ability to control its costs. The trash is everywhere on the property, not in the dumpsters, and now the property is towing residents cars to improve the appearance of the parking lot, but the tow company is damaging the autos and takes no responsibility. The apartment was rented 2 managers ago, and apparently there is some confusion in the billing as to whether it is woodlake or parkside... This is a terrible place, there are many apartments near by that do not do this. Do not be fooled by the propertys outward appearance, while parkside makes a huge attempt to improve its look from the road, the apartments have shoddy appliances from the 70's, the refridgerators leak, and maintenance says it s supposed to be like this and can not fix it... Did I mention I reported I had a roach problem and they sent maitenance 4 weeks later with a can of raid? There is no roach control or spraying going on to say the least and the apartments are over-run with them... So dont bash my bad credit, that has nothing to do with sub standard living conditions! All the residents at ghettoside apartments are poor, thats why management abuses them, it knows they wont fight back.

I agree 100% with anonymous. My son and his roommate used to live at Ghettoside and I have never seen so many cockroaches in my life! They where literally crawling out of the electrical outlets and switches. The roof leaked like a sieve. When my son made any request to address any problems he got the same responses as anonymous. They also will play with lease/move out dates (90 days notice to move out? Get real!)so that they can squeeze extra months of rent out of the poor people who live there. Not only is Parkside Village a ghetto, the management should be considered slum landlords taking advantage of people who don't have many option to begin with. How dare you criticize the credit rating of you tenents and say they are lucky to be approved. No one with with good credit would think of living in such squalor. You should consider yourselves lucky that there is a market for such abuse of humanity! Shame on you.
