Years at this apartment: 1997 - 1998
We lived in this apartment for one year and in that time we flooded THREE times. They would NOT fix the problem. During one flood the maintenance man, apparently annoyed at having been called after hours, looked around and asked, "What do you want me to do about it'" After the second flood they ripped the padding out of the carpet and left the carpet like that, mildewing, until we threatened to break the lease. That unit had obviously been flooded many times before we moved in. The walls were SOFT from water and the apartment above us said their floor had begun to sink. We were always sick and I am sure the walls were filled with mold and yet they would not move us to another unit unless we paid for the entire move - no professional mover, no covering our transfer fees, nothing. I think the management was different every time we dealt with them.
Also during our stay we requested maintenance for a broken thermostat. We were told there was nothing wrong with it. Guess what they charged us for when we moved out' A broken thermostat.
