No longer worth the price

Years at this apartment: 2000 - 2001
Cons:
When I signed my lease, the management staff promised the stained carpet would be replaced, and the scratched tub would be resurfaced. A year later, these items still haven't been done.
They regularly mow the grass, but don't regularly trim the hedges. Doors in complex have all needed painting since door number plaques removed about 8 months ago.
They're unwilling to take the effort to put weather stripping on back door. After third request, they suddenly claimed it was impossible, though back door is just like front door, which has adequate weather stripping.
Plumbing is screwed up. For example: 2am-7am, steaming hot water comes from the cold water pipe, while hot water pipes produce cold water; Shower hot/cold lines are connected backwards.
Water pipelines under the complex parking lots, and between buildings, have ruptured at least 4 times in the last year, in different spots.
Ants live in the internal walls, not just coming in from outside. Their only proposed sollution is to "bug bomb", which will not penetrate the walls and therefore won't solve the problem.
Recent changes to Trinity Mills for the tollway makes west-bound travel out of complex annoying (requires U-turn up the road). No exit onto Kelly to make it easier.
Noticable lack of care in complex was renovated, and as its cleaned up between residents:
* Walls very banged up, patched and painted unprofessionally.
* Paint splattered on carpet, fixtures, bathroom sink, mirror.
* Kitchen cabinets restained without being washed - resulting in unpleasant look, and stickiness above stove.
* Insulation clearly not replaced. Rotting bits can be seen coming from some cracks or from behind woodwork.
Blinds are inadequate against powerful floodlights of parking lot. No curtain rods installed.
Rent has gone up about $60 in the last year for a one bedroom apartment, considering specials, despite the property being old, falling apart, ongoing road construction the last 6 months, and current marken downturn.
Pros:
Mostly a peaceful neighborhood. Many young children. Some elderly residents.
Convienent location to many offices along Marsh and Midway near Trinity Mills.
Many near-by stores and shops. Many nearby fast food places. Restaurants on Belt Line not far.
Not too far from Love Joy or DFW airports; very easy to get to both.
It can't get much worse, so you know what to expect.
