I was just up at happy hour everything was going great I was meeting new people when I asked for my 2nd beer. The girl passing out the beers said I guess you can have 1 more. Now I sat their and watch her drink about 6 beers (and she is driving home) her friends who don't live here had more than 6. Is it a social hour for her and her friends or for the people who pay rent here ( who are walking to the social event).Come to think of it I went to the back to school bash most of the people who won were at the office staff's table and don't even live here. So I am wondering are these gatherings for the office staff and their friends or for the people paying rent here who call this home.

Wow! I've never seen such an ungrateful complaint as this! The Arboleda staff put itself out to encourage social interaction among its residents and then is criticised for offering free food, a couple of drinks and the company of others. You obviously have some issues. You said yourself you were having a good time meeting people. Your posting is most disturbing. Apparently you don't realize that the "friends" of the staff actually live here. If you're so put off by people that stay and work longer hours for your benefit, why don't you just stay home?

I'm with stone57...if you are so upset about your experiences, why do you keep attending these social functions that are held for free?? Maybe you should just stay home. One more thing, during this "happy" hour, you couldn't think of anything else to do but sit there and watch someone drink 6 beers?? Get a life!!

I am with Anonymous Dang... I never been to one of these free?? gathering but after reading the coments I don't think I will be going!!! Their are plenty of free stuff in Austin were the people are not so rude. Good to know I live with such friendly people. NOT

So you are griping about the complex throwing a party with free beer and food because someone had more beer than you? Are you three years old? Seriously what other complex does that? It gives you a chance to meet your neighbors and staff which should make the community friendlier all together, which should be what it is about, not the free beer. But, I guess there are always people you can't please no matter what you do.

I'm wondering does staff sit around to add good comments to the bad. Maybe if they worked this hard to improve the complex instead of these so called great response it might improve the bad ones.

Um, for everyone's edification, the staff didn't post those comments. lwhaley1979 is my husband and I am ogrady. At the time that we lived there, things were different. The staff was awesome and the manager was even better. The parties were fun and no one except Anonymous people would post stuff on here. (notice how my husband and I used our names) Times have chanded. I know the Jenni and Jourdan are no longer there. I am pretty sure Victor isn't either. Kate was the other person that made Arboleda feel like home. I am pretty sure the problems lie in the crappy staff that they have now. We didn't have any of these issues before.

ogrady- you couldn't be more correct!! None of those people that you mentioned are here anymore. Those were very friendly and nice people. The management not are a bunch of rude idiots that like to talk down to you just because they think that they can!! It is a completely different place that when we moved in back in 2007!!
