Not the best, but it's good.

We moved into an apartment here right after it was built so we are the first tennants in this unit. The apartment itself is nice and the floor plan is mostly well laid out but it lacks much storage space. There is an a/c closet that is large enough for a vacuum and not much more. We have a downstairs unit so we have a storage closet underneath the above units stairs. It's a nice size but since its long and skinny getting to anything is a hassel. The bedrooms have walk in closets that are pretty small. They built in some small shelves that can hold absolutely nothing in the master closet.Other than that there is one bar to hang clothes and a shelf above it. The closet isn't even large enough to hang 2 people's clothes. Appliances are nice but they could have added a bit more lighting in the kitchen. There is no light above the bar area so it makes it hard to see when you are eating. Also the kitchen faucet is a total joke. It's not even big enough to put a pot under it to fill it with water let alone wash one in the sink. You can tell that the workers rushed to finish the units. There is paint on the carpet and in places it shouldn't be. But over all it looks nice. Also, there isn't anything to seperate the carpet from the tile floors. They just kind of run into each other so when you vacuum you'll pull up pieces of carpet which for a "luxury" apartment I thought was pretty crappy. The people at the front office are very helpful and nice, we haven't had any problems with them so far. The maintenance guys are also very nice and prompt. There has been a problem with pipes bursting in our building. So far 3 pipes have burst that we know of. Our master bedroom got flooded pretty badly. They never replaced the carpet, just the carpet pad and the guys that installed the padding didn't even pad the entire floor. So you can walk across the bedroom and feel where there is padding and where there isn't any. I'd definately recommend renter's insurance here. There are 2 major flaws that are causing us to not resign the lease here. The first one is the inside stairs idea. It's good if you have an upstairs unit but the downstairs people really suffer. The stairs are placed right next to the master bedroom wall. So anytime someone goes up or down their stairs it will wake you up and it can be very, very annoying. They should have found a better place to put the stairs if they wanted to do the inside deal. Also the noise coming from other apartments is unreal. If you sit in silence you can actually hear the conversations of the other tennants. Also it's pretty gross but if you are in the bathroom at the same time as the person above you, you can hear them using the bathroom. I've lived in apartments for a long time and I have never ever had this happen before moving here. The second thing that is a total problem is parking. They do not assign spaces and they have decided that some trees are more important than being able to park within a reasonable distace to your unit. There are about 24 units in the building that we live in, all of which are 2 bedroom units. Most people in a 2 bedroom have 2 cars. There are only enough parking spots for about half of the cars that need to park around here. You will end up parking at least 3 buildings down and walking all the way to your apartment if you get home past 6 or 7 at night. In my opinion they could have done away with all of the flower beds and trees that they have an added about 50 more spots to the parking lot. The rest of the grounds are pretty though. But you pay for that as well. Don't expect to sleep in. The lawn care people come at about 6:30 am and start cutting grass and using the leaf blower about once a week or so. They also bring in landscapers often who make tons of noise really early in the morning. Overall I'd say they are nice apartments. If you don't need lots of storage and don't mind no parking and lots of noise then it's a great place.
