If you are looking for an apartment, don't ever consider CG Silverado. We moved to CG Silverado, in August 2005. Since we have a little boy, we chose a ground floor apartment. We plan on moving into a home in a few months so apartment living is only temporary for us. Both my husband and I used to live in apartments before (when we were single), and we didn't have quite a horrible experience we are having now. There's a family of four who moved to the apartment above us in September 2005. Since the day they moved in, it has been unlivable down here. At first, we talked to them nicely and asked them to keep the noise down... to no avail. There were a couple of times we could hear our neighbors fighting AND cursing when we were having breakfast (and yes, our little boy heard all that as well), it felt like there was a wrestling arena upstairs since the wife was chasing him or vice-versa! Weekends are even worst when the entire family is home. Yes, kids will be kids but the parents have responsibility to control bad behavior, including being too loud and jumping around too much--- and they need to teach their kids about respect for those living around them. After all, this is not their two-story home, this is an apartment! During "sleeping hours," we could still hear them like they are moving stuff and thumping. Not only that, they slam their door every single time, even when they get home late at night. We made NUMEROUS complaints to the office (phone calls, talked to the office staff in person). We even made a log, keeping track with dates and times we heard all these noises. No one from the CG Silverado leasing office did anything to help us. So my husband wrote a letter to the apartment management formally addressing the noise issues we'd been having against our neighbors upstairs. The office staff should be fully aware that sounds can be magnified in the lower apartments, and should have not treated me and my husband like we are babies whenever we complain. On several occasions, we asked the leasing office staff to come witness the noise. Hours have passed but no one from the office showed up. We understand that everyone's busy but it takes less than 5 minutes to get from the office to our apartment. NOISE in an apartment building is to be expected, but when it DISRUPTS people's lives, then it becomes a problem. A problem that apparently the staff of CG Silverado does NOT want to deal with. So, you still wanna move to CG Silverado' We certainly hope not. Unless you want to lose your sleep, have your nerves fried... and be at your wit's end.
