Wow, there hasn't been a review posted in a year!! Ok, so I moved here in June of 2008. I absolutely LOVE it!! I'm a veteran when it comes to moving, and in the 10 years I've been on my own living in apartments, I can honestly say that CC@L is by FAR the best place I've lived at. In fact, this is the first time I've renewed a lease with an apt complex. I mean, I'm not saying its 100% percent perfect, but it's damn near close. The price is VERY low...esp for the location!! Right by the mall, 183, Starbucks!!, Randalls, etc. Also, I'm a single mom, so it helps to not be stressed out about whether or not I'm gonna make rent...it's that low. The floorplans are nice...well, I've only seen the 2 BR, so I can only speak for that. LOL. I would like to have a larger living area, but oh well. The office staff is really nice...the manager is really cool. He's such a personable guy!! I didn't know he was the manager until I went in there to pay rent one day like 6 months after I moved in. I always saw him around & would just chit chat every once in a while. I knew he worked there but didn't know what his position was...he's just that down to earth. All the girls in there are really nice...and they are the same ones who have been there since I moved in almost a year ago! That says a lot. I've seen that only one other time at another place. Parking is never an issue...over by my building, at least. I park in almost the same place every day no matter what time I get home. The parking lot could be more lit though. I leave for work while it's still dark in the morning, and sometimes I get a little freaked out walking to my car. It's just me though. My neighbors are nice, and never noisy. That's a first for me!! I've always had to deal with the "noisy neighbor" but not here. Hmm..maybe I'm the noisy neighbor for everyone else...lol. Hope not!! I try to be quiet..hehe. The kids around here are pretty good. Yea they run around all the time screaming, yelling, and bikes speeding thru the breezeway...but come on...they're KIDS!! Don't tell me that you didn't do stuff like that when you were a kid. I know I did!! And then some!! All in all though, they're fine. Never had to go out and tell them to be quiet or anything. It's comforting though because you know you live somewhere relatively safe when the kids are out playing everyday. I've lived places where that doesn't happen. Lets see...what else...I know this is getting long and I'm so sorry...but I'm trying to be thorough. OH..I've used all the facilities they have, and I'll have to say that they're great!! Ok, well, the laundry room....this is a pet peeve thing, but people will put their laundry in the washer or dryer, then leave...which is fine, but PLEASE come back and get your stuff!!! A few times I've gone in there to do laundry, and I come back to put my clothes in the dryer and all the dryers are full and stopped. I don't know what to do then...I feel bad for touching someone else's stuff, but anyway, I just pick one with not a lot of clothes in it, take them out and put them on top of a washer. I don't use the laundry room anymore since I got a washer and dryer of my own now..YAY!! So, all in all, this place is great. I would say for anyone of all ages, really. Well, except the partying teenagers. I know they don't tolerate that at all. I know for sure they kicked out some for that. (They were in my building) So, with all that said, I hope this review helps a little bit with any questions you may have had about this place. I think in the last newsletter they sent out, it's 100% full for the month of April. That should also say a lot. I know that when I moved in last year they were at 100% as well. I took the very last open apartment!! Only bc someone broke their lease early. Now, this is a tax credit place, so be prepared to fill out lots of paperwork!! I know tax credit complexes have bad reps bc of low income crap, but don't listen to that nonsense. Like I said before, I'm a single mom...I have 2 kids, a secure job that pays all my bills, and I live comfortably...however, I fall into the "low income" category. So what...just means my rent is lower than the average joe! ha! So, happy hunting, and hopefully you will consider this place...!!!!
