Years at this apartment: 2007 - 2007
Second review - UPDATE: So we've been at Lakeline Villas for two years now. The place hasn't changed much since my last review back in 2007 but I thought I'd give some details.
Management is new and so is the owner. I find the current staff to be even better than the last one which started slacking before the property was even sold. I attributed that to the previous owner's complete disregard for their tenants and their staff and for their only concern about making a buck. It's a business, I get it, but still.
The new office staff and maintenance team is great! They retained two previous employees from the last maintenance team I think they could do without, however. I just think I could do better at fixing things than they can and I'm a chick!
There have been a lot of concern with cars broken into at night for a while. After investigation by the police, this turned out to be the work of punks in the area going to several apartment complexes and busting into cars to steal things. The way I see it, people should know better by now than to leave things in their car in plain view. There is a lot of problems with the gates that tend to remain opened for long periods of time (days). The office says the gates get stuck when people hit or tap them with their car. This is a tenant's fault. The Cedar Park police department patrols in the complex ALL THE TIME!!!! We also have at least two cops living here who respond to any calls at any time for noise or other and whose cars can be seen in the parking lots.
I have to concur with the dog problems to a certain extent. Crap used to be all over the lawns. It is now greatly reduced since the new management installed trash cans with bags available for crap pick up by owners but nothing and no one can fight laziness, alas! Pick up your dog' shite, people!!!!
There are now far more families with children living at Lakeline which I don't mind. Beats having a bunch of college punks living it up in the middle of the night on week nights. There just are many more people altogether living here now due to the economy forcing folks out of their houses which has turned parking into an issue in the evening. Something has to be said for families who have more than two cars. Management should take folks' license plates upon signing leases and keep tabs on how many parking spots one household may use. Otherwise for those of us who work late sometimes, it just plain sucks!!!!
We moved into a bigger apartment within the complex and were happy the management agreed to make repairs and replace certain things we had asked for.
The pool just got a facelift. It was emptied and every crack and other issues in it were addressed. It is up and running and as beautiful as ever. There is however a big problem with tenants from the building complex next door jumping the gates and coming over. I personally don't have a problem sharing but some are just plain arrogant and rude about it. What annoys me the most is when confronted by tenants who live here, they cop an attitude. Again, Lakeline can only do so much about that. They should consider having tenants wear a bracelet in bright green while at the pool. Anyone without one gets kicked out by an angry mob of selfish tenants! lol
I think the only thing that bugs me is that there is no recycling done at Lakeline! How hard would it be to get that going' I understand it would cost them to have trucks come pick up the recycling but I'd happily pay a little extra to see that happen. Instead, I have to drag my recycling downtown. The drive alone isn't worth bothering about a few cans ...
Overall, my opinion hasn't changed since my last review. Some of the staff live here which speaks volumes. I have met great people here with whom we get together often for a bbq by the pool. The new management hosts many more events for tenants than the previous one which brings the community together. Makes it easier to tell your neighbor to pick up his dog's crap when you know him! ;)

First review:
Wow! Such anger!!! Although I've only been at Lakeline for a few months, I have to say I am pleasantly surprised. The management team is very pleasant and helpful and so is the maintenance team on top of being efficient and prompt. My only complaints would have to be the occasional noise from the neighbors but then again this IS an apartment complex, therefore to be expected. The apartment upon my moving in was clean and freshly painted. I asked for a few extras and the management and maintenance teams provided me with what I needed that day. The location is perfect and the rent very easy on the bank account considering all apartments come equipped with their own washer/dryer.
