Years at this apartment: 2007 - 2007

Moved in about 10 months ago in January of 2007 and am just now moving out. I had a few problems with them here and there, but nothing much until move out time. Once while living there maintenance had come in on a routine check and left us a note saying what they did. But they forgot to turn my breaker switches back on and close to $200-$300 worth of food in my fridge and freezer went bad. They also smoked in my apartment, leaving the scent of cigarettes around and their ashes. I know it wasn't me, because I DON'T smoke nor my girlfriend!!! Well, before move in I asked the gentleman at the front if I could hang shelves in my bedroom and he told me yes, so long as I filled them in with Spackle. So when I moved out, I filled in the holes and now they are trying to charge me for sheet rock replacement, saying I am not supposed to fill the holes in. WHAT'!'!, they told me to or I wouldn't have wasted the money or the effort in doing so. Also, they want to charge for me for replacing the carpet due to pet damages. That is understandable, IF I had a pet(s). I signed the lease stating I would not have a pet or anything like that. They say the carpet is damaged and ruined, because the day I had to move out(which was there fault and I will explain later) was raining and there was a very minimal amount of mud in the entry way and only in that ONE spot. So, they proceed to say they found a cat box in my storage, this is true, I was storing a cat box for my mother, because she was moving. A brand new cat box I had gotten her that had NEVER EVER been used. So, they are trying to stick me with Sheetrock replacement and carpet replacement which is completely bogus. My lease was up on December 1st, a Saturday. So the lady with a really annoying voice in the front office said, you usually turn them in at midnight on your lease date, but since we are closed on Sunday, give them to ME on Monday. I bring the keys in Monday, after speaking to the guy in the office and he said everything was fine. I get there and the lady stated she was charging me for Saturday and Monday, even though I was not in there neither of those days and they were closed Sunday and they got the keys at 1:30 PM on Monday. The reason I had 4 days to find a place was because they said I could upgrade to the 2 bedroom I needed and it would be $900-$1000 a month, which is a lot, but I said okay. Then I get a call a day before the lease and it's $1100, which is outrageous, but I finally talk myself in to it. Then I get there to sign the lease and its $1200. NO WAY!! Now, I live in a bigger 3 bedroom apartment in a nicer complex for $889. Anyways, they tried to screw my from all angles possible out of every single penny they could and I am still currently fighting with them. I would never EVER EVER live there again or any property managed by UDRT again. Not even if it was free, I can swear on that. I hope you take all this into consideration, because I loved the location, how they looked and the actual floor plans while I was there(90%) until a few months after I moved out. I would not have taken the time, if this were not true.

It's ashame there are not Positive Postings about Lakeline Villas here. I have lived here since they opened back in May 2003, and I Love living here!
I have never once had a problem with the office or maintenance staff, they have bent over backwards for me many times to make my life easier. I would give special thanks to the guy in the office, he is always professional, honest and sincere. The maintenance staff always wave and say hello when I see them. When I have called in a work order they come that day and take care of the problem. Many of my neighbors have also lived here for several years and they have never complained about anything. The floor plans are great and I love the pool area. They are in perfect location to Cedar Park and 183. I would only give thanks to the management team at Lakeline Villas because they have made my living experience here extremely pleasant.

I was thinking the same thing letmeout64. The Lakeline Villas management and maintnance have always maintained professionalism. I have lived here a little before you, and have always felt a real sense of fellowship among the Lakeline Villas community. Obviously, we are listening to a few past residents who had an aweful experience. I don't know their situation due to a one-sided story, but i can say i'm not leaving. I haven't found a better place to live. Thanks! to the residents, and Lakeline Villas staff.

It's ashame the persons above had a bad experience. A little advise to whoever wants it in the future, My past experience is a walk thru with the staff before returning keys just incase something is missed and to be on the same page. The market changes on a daily basis so maybe the price quoted was only good for a certain amount of time. I have been living at Lakeline Villas for over a year and never experienced traffic in parking lots nor white trash as stated. I think the staff in the office are very nice and efficient and the maitenance staff is exceptional. The pools and grounds are beautiful with the exception of a few irresponsible pet owners not cleaning up after pets nor walking dogs on a leash. Other than that, experience is great!
