Horrible management

Look around at all of the apartment rating sites and you'll find the same comments. Don't be fooled my the comments planted by the management. The management here has the absolute worse people skills in a service industry that I have ever seen. With the amount of available apartments in Austin I would think that the management would like to cater to their customer but when a >2 year tenant pays rent 30 min late who hasn't made a late payment in over a year, they cant do anything for them even with the stack of other checks not entered sitting on the desk in front of them. Apparently the $50 and ding to my credit as I am in the market for a new home for my now growing family is more important than doing the correct thing. Also the parking is bad in the back sections and a good amount of the hallway lights are out and the walkways are very dirty and stained. They are nice apartments inside but don't expect any quick resolutions to any problems.

| Hello, my name is Jaime Caddell and I'm the Community Manager at The Lodge at Lakeline Village. Apartmentratings.com has taken the necessary steps in ensuring that employees can not and do not post positive comments to increase rating percentages, therefore all the reviews are actual reviews written by renters. The Lodge upholds all policies including the late fee policy. All resident lease agreements clearly state the late fee policy on page one of the TAA lease contract. This renter asked an employee of the Lodge to be dishonest and classify his late fee under a "maintenance fee" so it wouldn't reflect negatively when he went to purchase a home. The employees of the Lodge believe in good, honest business practices and I as the manager would expect no less. I would like to take this opportunity to reassure this resident that mortgage companies do not take into consideration late payments that are less they 30 days or longer nor does the Lodge report late payments to the credit bureau. In regards to the breezeway lighting, our records do not show reports of lighting concerns from this renter or any other. Since reading this review a work order for repair has been submitted and will be addressed within 48 hours. Thank you for your time. Jaime | |

It is ashame that someone would blame the The Lodge Office Staff for not bending the rules for them. They are at fault, not the management. They are doing their jobs. If you break the rules for one person, you have to fair and do that for everyone. This wouldnt have been an issue if they had just paid on time. I can assure you that I am not related to anyone at The Lodge Apartments and am not an employee. I am in customer service management and resident and understand the importance of adhering to policies and procedures. I myself have been late on my rent, but have paid the dues because I was the one at fault. This apartment is great. The staff (including Maintenance) is warm, friendly and responds quickly to my needs. I would recommend them to anyone.
