Although Alexan does have their share of problems, they are way better than the apartments I live in now.
Our biggest complaints about Alexan were
1.) the parking. Total nightmare- there is never enough space if you come home anytime after 5pm.
2.) The management was always changing. We lived there for about a year and a half (we moved in right when they opened) and not one person is still there from when we moved in. I'm not sure why they have such a high turn-over.
3.) Bugs. They do have a lot of bugs, infact my son got about 12 bites while taking a nap in his crib from red ants. You HAVE to put complaints in writing, don't do it over the phone.
4.) Workmanship. The apartments were obviously put together very quickly. But for a temporary place to live, a year or two, it's just fine. The walls and carpet are a nice color. There isn't much storage space at all depending on your floor plan. The one bedroom is awesome, but the one & 1/2 bedroom has no room whatsoever.
I always felt very safe walking by myself or with my son. Neighbors are loud, but that could happen anywhere. Nice pools. 24/7 gym and office. Kind of expensive.
