My boyfriend and I were in our early twenties when we moved in. At first I was very excited to move in to such a nice looking complex, in a nice new apartment. A few months later we had some people over one night and I admit we were very loud but there were no complaints and that was the only time we had more than two people over. A few weeks later the courtesy officer came to our door saying we got a complaint about slamming our door. I explained to him that the door slams itself if you don`t happen to catch it before it shuts and he was extremely rude and discriminating toward us, we soon got anther violation for listening to some music quietly in our room one night. At this point I know we were being targeted for our young age, it was like some one was just waiting to hear any tiny noise through the paper thin walls and what do you know, the rude obnoxious courtesy officer comes binging on our door with another violation. A couple weeks later we were evicted for not catching the door before it slammed. Talk about RIDICULOUS!!

Lived there - age hasn't anything to do with it - manners do. Sounds as if the complainer was pretty loud in general aside from the cited incidents. It took a LOT of noise there to get the staff/office/security officer to take action on noise complaints just because the walls aren't all that thick and noise travels up and down through the buildings so well. Children slamming up and down the outdoor stairwells could sound like an invasion and the office staff in their high heels - wow. While the outside doors could slam occasionally - you had to have another door or window in line with them open and a breeze had to be blowing as well to cause that to happen.

age has everything to do with it and there are at least 10 people who would back me up on that. The outside doors did not slam occasionally it was all the time no matter what!!!

Our doors slammed as well. The foundation was off and the door would slam since the wall was at an angle. It was incredibly frustrating.
