Being low income housing I will not tell people they should not live there if they financially need too. However there are major problems with this complex. Upon move in there was no cleaning done to the apartment I found dry cat food in cubbords, the previous renter had a bird and when I went to shut the closet door after moving all the clothes in there was bird poop all over the outside of the door. The bathroom was some what of a nightmare with cheap laminate tileing that damages very easily. We had water damage showing through our ceiling upon move in and was told the roof leak was fixed. 12 months later it started to leak and bowed. When I demanded that repairs be made to our apartment the apartment manager and management company did not make immediate attempts. Telling me it was my problem that some of these repairs took so long when I had written serveral letters, emails and made handfuls of long distance calls to the managment company to get issues resolved. again upon move in I had a 2 foot long tear in my carpet from where the steam cleaning company had disolved the glue to hold the 2 pieces together. None of these problems were properly addressed until after we moved out 2 years later and then I am sure they were just covered up to make do. When I had asked about mold or mildew being a problem with the water damage in the roof, they tried to assure me that there was none as there was no " insulation in the roof" well that would explain my $120 electric bill. My husband lost several jobs due to constantly having to call in sick, my kids had raging alergies and ear infections. After moving to a nicer place all of these symptoms stopped. I can only think it had something to do with the conditions behind the walls and repairs that were not kept up to date. Another neighbor had a leak in their bathroom for 10 months that was never fixed until the water had leaked into their sons bedroom and rotted the carpet padding. Vents were sealed shut so that dust would collect an inch thick in the vents. The apartment manager would also let known drug addicts and felons move in which is not allowed as stated on the lease. I had to call the cops on mumberous occasions at 2am dealing with everything from drunken fights involving beer bottles to child abuse casses. Sorry I am not trying to sound bitter, I was very thankful to get out and not have the apartment manager harrasing us. Make your own decision but I do not reccomend staying for long.

You write a response in 2008, and think you know anything about what it was like when I lived there in 2003-05. I have friends that stayed and they say it got better which is great, and i am glad you like where you live. I wasn't ugly to you so no need to be ugly to me. I own my own home now and thankfully never need to rent again.

If you had to live with the ex husband as I am anywhere is better than this. We can make the best of where we are no matter what! Many blessings on you.
