Parking: Parking was usally decent, most days I could get a spot right in front of my entrance way. Parking on the weekends were the worst times as other renters had friends over that would crowd the parking lot, but no more than any other complexs.

Noise: If you live on the bottom floor you can track your neighbors every movement in the unit above you.

Grounds: Landscapers come by often and the grass and bushes are kept well trimmed. The buildings though could use a coat of paint.

Safety: Lighting around the complex is decent around the buildings. We felt safe walking around the complex at night up until the last few months of living there. In the month of April '09 we witnessed a police chase through the parking lot at 2am that ended by our building. Also our neighbor's cars were broken in to twice the same month.

Construction: These buildings are getting old and while they were well built when they were new, they are in REAL need of repair. In April contractors replaced the siding on the buildings, while they were performing the repairs I got to see what was behind the siding. What I saw scared me. All the support braces and studs had SEVERE termite damage and were badly rotted. The contractors did replace some of the supports but only the ones they could reach. There were large cracks in our walls and on the ceiling from the building foundation failing. In the living room area the ceiling was actually sagging.

Maintenance: The maintenance staff is very responsive, although sometimes they do not complete the repair in one visit.

Staff: Most of the staff is very nice and helpfull, and when the manager is not in the office it is a nice place to visit. The manager of the complex can seem a bit "cold" at times and hard to work with.

Overall: Overall this apartment complex was a nice place to live when we first moved in but over the years has become a place that we were VERY happy to get away from. I did not feel it was a safe place for my children to live. For the amount of rent they charge I felt like they could have kept up the buildings better than they have.

My advice, pay a few extra hundred dollars a month and either get a house, or move to one of the other NEWER apartment complexes around town.

When they were doing the construction to replace the siding they acutally broke our master bedroom window. After hurricane Ike we came home the Monday after the storm, after dark, to a colapsed ciling and had to beg to be moved to another apartment becasue I refused to stay in that apartment. My husband finally convienced the manager to let us stay in another apartment because he reminded her that our next door apartment was vacant and we could just sleep there for the night. We eventually moved in to the vacant apartment.

i remamber when the police chace happend. funny thing about it is that it was a chace off the road the person tryed to hide in our comunity but the good thing about that is the police got the guy and nothing else happened the police department is very good also i think the fact that you lived in the same area as your neighbor's and their car was the only one that got broken into and 2 time that sounds a little fishy to me. and honestly just remember that nothing is ever perfect and ppl will always find somthing to complaine about

I was working nights at the time, my car was not there to be broken into. ;-) Besides, they had items in clear sight, which kinda makes you a target. As far as folks always finding something to complain about, sure that's true, but I'd rather be complaining about little things and not the fact that my kitchen flooded three times with stinky, nasty "Stuff", twice while I was away on vacation, that made my apartment almost unbearable to live in because of the stench. But then I didn't list that in my review....did I?
