I AM military. The management took note of that when I signed my lease. You are half correct. It is true if you are deployed, you can break the leasing contract without consequence. However, The person who was deployed in this case WANTED to KEEP her apartment and NOT let it go. In that case she should have paid full rent, but the management let her have it for reduced. As a token of thanks, you can see pictures the soldier sent from Iraqi in the main office.
