When I moved to the Gables, I thought the place was pretty ok. Over time though, I found that it was definitely not the apartment for me. I have lived there for a couple of years and plan on moving when my lease is up. The noise issues are ridiculous!! My neighbors love to bass thier stereos and play loud music and even yell. It's horrible, and has gotten worse over the past few months. Pets are also a problem. Owners let their animals roam freely- using the bathroom where ever they like. Construction of the apartments themselves is also bad. It rained several months ago and my ceiling caved in. The staff is really nice, but there's not a lot they can do. Overall, the place is WAY too expensive (I'm guessing because it's close to campus) for the amount of space you get. I wouldn't reccomend moving here. There are a lot of other places around B/CS. To sum it up, it is an obnoxious living environment.
