I rented a second floor, one bedroom apartment for 2 years. The first year I had minimal issues with neighbors being noisy. If they were loud, I'd ask them to knock it off and they would. There was a lot of turn over in staff during the first year as well. With the turn over, the staff was more willing to rent to anyone, as opposed to mature, contributing members of society.

The second year, was horrendous. I had a downstairs neighbor who would come home drunk at 3am during the work week and turn his radio on full blast. The cops were called frequently because threats of eviction from the office went unfulfilled. I also had a neighbor whom the office allowed to set up a drum set in his apartment. He had frequent loud parties all night of the week and the girls working in the office would actually attend these parties. Again, the cops were called frequently.

Also, the apartments were prone to roaches. Really big Texas sized roaches. UGH! They would come from around the pipes. The apartments weren't very well sealed so I tried sticking steel wool around them to keep the bugs out. Apparently the guy downstairs was messy and thus they made their way up to my clean apartment. Ew. The pest guy came once every 2 weeks but whatever he sprayed was ineffective. I eventually stopped calling the pest guy and started treating my apartment evey month or so to stave them off. This seemed to work well.

The laundry room is horrendous as well. There are 8 washers, 4 industrial dryers, and none of them work very well. I had several clothing items ruined as a result of using the dryers. The dryers also made my clothes smell like burnt marshmallows, no matter how many bounce sheets I used. Definately take your clothes to the Washateria down the street!

So, if you don't mind loud neighbors/the fact that the office staff won't do anything useful to make them stop being loud and you're ok with taking care of large roaches and smelling of burnt marshmallows each time you do laundry, this is the place for you!
