Used to be Timber Creek, Spring Heights and Mill Creek... new mgt bought out--Aspen Square out of Mass. Now they are raising rents upwards of 200 but say that includes "free internet and cable" which doesn't cost NEAR that much. They fired Wally, the older but totally GREAT mgr and hired a new staff and are now looking for a mgr even though they had the best. I am sure they are nice enough but they are there to get you to rent. Big mgt has no ethics. They are suddenly coming into apts all the time to change stuff, look it over, etc. They offered a $400 gift card (which TAA says they can't do) if we renew our lease months early--as IF that makes up for the HUGE rent increase. This place went from being nice apts where more mature BCS people could rent for decent rent--used to be ranked #1 on apt ratings to just mass marketing that cares NOTHING about people--and that is the word around town. BTW, for the rent increase you can actually get a luxury gated place with all sorts of amenities and no nightmare traffic on Spring Loop so AVOID!

Also, tHey just installed new lights. They go on when it gets dark, goes off when it gets light--and they replaced our switches so we can't control it. So basically they force us to keep our outside light on and now you see other lights shining in. It probably doesn't affect an electric bill a lot but we do pay our own here so it makes a difference to have a light on 24/7. They don't care of course. LOTS of people are already bothered and are talking about it.

It went from 515 to 685 on a 7 mo. lease or 670 on a 12 mo. I HAVE A WASHER AND DRYER! I don't want a new one. What do I do with mine' I am under contract to DSL so I will be paying for two internets (no choice) AND it is porch lights. I now have to shut my bathroom door to sleep b/c the lights from the facing apt make it glare in my dark room. EVERY porch light is on here ALL NIGHT LONG NOW and we weren't told--they just said someone was coming, seal up our dogs and ta da!

I have given notice I am moving, though. Same place down the road rents for 465. Duh.
