What you need to know...

Laurel Ridge is a typical apartment complex. I chose to live here because I didn't want to be somewhere with pool parties and keggers going on all the time (so I could get that little thing called an "education"). It turns out, I chose right. I moved here in August and I have been relatively happy.
What you need to know:
This is an older complex. They are doing remodeling, but not replacing everything. I really hate the appearance of my appliances, but the damn things work, so why should I complain' I like that it's older...it keeps the idiot partying freshman away and I have found peace and quiet!
The maintenance staff is GREAT! I'm a fifth year so I've moved around town a lot. I could do without a gameroom, resort style pool or all the other crap some places offer...but I COULD NOT cope with apartment living without good maintenance people. Everything gets taken care of right away and they aren't creepers. That is key.
The office staff LISTENS! Maintenance stuff gets taken communicated, never had a problem with paperwork...and they are actually professional. The other reviews on here call them "girls" and say they aren't knowledgeable. I've heard these "girls" bend over backwards to try to make people happy...they do their jobs. (can't be that hard to rent out apartments!)
I am RIGHT BY EVERYTHING! If I need gas, groceries, dinner out or a stiff drink I'm right there...I could walk anywhere...not that I do, but I could! I stopped riding the bus a while ago, but I know there is a route.
OVERALL:
This is a quiet place to live with quality maintenance and a decent office staff. My apartment is "updated" but not brand new. The thing I like the most about Laurel Ridge is that I can live here...if I want a party, I'll go to a bar. I would continue to live here, but this Aggie is checking out of College Station PERMANENTLY as of August!
Good luck!

Yeah, I agree with you on the maintenance guys. They are pretty cool. That is the only reason I am staying here even though the ladies in the office are otherworldly often. By the way, congratulations on your prospective graduations!

Hi! Just curious, what do you mean "otherwordly"? I can't place that as a description for a person. I know it seems silly but I can't help my curiousity...oh and thanks for the congrats...I am very excited to be moving on from College Station!
