We lived in Meridian for a year. We picked the complex because of location, price and the friendly management and maintenance. It is an older complex and we knew that going it. Part way through our lease a new management lady came in and the maintenance man was laid off. From there it all went down hill.

The grass would go a week or two without getting cut. If you reported a maintenance problem it would be weeks before it got taken care of- if they ever came to look at it at all. We reported mold numerous times, they came and painted over it once. Of course it came right back, we took to having to bleach it ourselves because we couldn't get anyone to come take care of it.

There are bed bugs. We complained, they had someone come and spray the apartment. The card that we were left said that the pest people would come two more times to spray, never did. I complained about the bed bugs again and nothing was done about it.

The laundry facilities are disgusting. They are dirty and smelly. The machines are often broken and leaking. The pool had been broken for almost a year when we moved out. It was nasty to walk by- dark, murky, and full of trash and growth.

The apartments are sound proofed well from side to side. But you can hear every little thing the people above you do. It is awful and miserable when you are trying to sleep. There have been numerous break-ins, after wards it took them much to long to fix the broken windows, instead they covered them with garbage bags.

To give some positive points: its cheap to live here, they have a nice large field for your dogs to run in or to play catch in, the neighbors are on the most part friendly.

The location is a nice location. Walking distance to a TAMU bus stop, biking distance to campus. The downside to the location is trying to get in and out. You have two options to do this at- George Bush Street and on Texas Street. This is difficult to do due to traffic.

You can always find a parking spot, there is plenty of space. The parking lot is not striped though and that can get frustrating when prime spots are being taken up by bad parking.
