Although they are currently updating some of the apartments, Taos is in horrible condition. The second floors seem unstable, the stairs are unsafe, and the kitchens are in serious need of repair. It takes forever to get management to correct maintenance problems...they don't seem to care.

Some of the units are leaking, and I'm sure there will be an eventual problem with mold, since the only thing they do is paint over the water stains with KILZ. Patches to walls and ceilings really bad-looking...it looks like an amateur performed the work.

There was a recent problem with teenagers doing drugs, dealing drugs, and loitering until late at night...was finally addressed by management, but it took way too long to resolve. The kids were smoking pot in the common areas and trying to sell stolen goods. The management does not return calls, and don't really seem to care about residents. Residents had to get local law enforcement involved because the management refused to do anything about it. They FINALLY evicted the resident.

I saw the other review that says that it's Century 21 Beal Management...I'd avoid any of their properties if they treat all renters this way. I didn't actually live there, but my friends did...I was scared to leave anything in my car, and was scared to visit my friends.

The ONLY good thing about these apartments are that they are on the shuttle route.
